The high-resolution 1/4" Interline Transfer CCD with 380,000 effective pixels reproduces superbly detailed images in true color.
The VN-C205U produces high-quality images in the Motion-JPEG format with a resolution of up to 640x480 pixels and a maximum frame rate of 30 fps. Any computer can be used to monitor and record the video stream.
You can easily set the Easy Day/Night Function with the DIP switch. This funciton provides higher sensitivity for lower lx environment. When "D/N" switch is on, camera will automatically in Black and White mode when dark condition. Minimum illumination of the Day/Night Function is 0.9lx F1.2 (25IRE) that possible to get clear picture even under low illumination.

The VN-C205U features a CF card slot that works in conjunction with the alarm function to allow automatic recording onto a CF card before or after the alarm triggers. JVC recommends the use of industrial version CF cards ranging from 128 MB to 1,024 MB.*
* Depends on the file size and/or object. CF card cannot record 30 fps.May not be compatible with certain CF cards; use of industrial version CompactFlash cards that JVC recommends.
Alarms* can be activated based on motion within a defined area. Motion detection can also start video recording on an internal CF memory card or on a connected computer.
* The camera must be connected to alarm devices such as an annunciator, indicator, lamp or buzzer.
In addition to being a superb IP network camera, the VN-C205U is a true hybrid camera, with high resolution analog outputs* for use with existing analog recording systems. An additional front-mounted RCA video output is convenient for initial camera setup.

The network camera shall be a self contained unit that incorporates a color camera, vari-focal lens/auto iris lens, wide angle adjustment range mechanism and 10 Base-T and 100 Base-TX Ethernet, IEEE802.3 and IEEE802.3u standard communication. The
network camera shall be a JVC Model VN-C205U or equivalent. The VN-C205U camera shall incorporate a 1/4 Inch image sensor,380,000 pixels with built-in complementary color filter for accurate color with no image lag or distortion. The network camera shall produce JPEG compression, picture sizes of 640 x 480 and 320 x 240 with a maximum transfer frame rate of 30fps for smooth motion pictures. The network camera shall support programmable IP addresses allowing the installation of multiple units in the same LAN environment. The network camera shall have a built-in Web server that features a FTP server capability for storage of user-designed Web pages. The network camera shall feature NAT/IP Masquerade that multiple VN-C205Us can be connected to a NAT/IP Masquerade compatible router and share a single IP address. The network camera shall feature an Easy day & night function removing color signal automatically (ON/OFF) together AGC for increased sensitivity in low light conditions. The network camera shall deliver a usable high quality picture at a scene illumination of 1.5 lx, f1.2 (color mode with smoke cover)/0.9 lx f1.2 (color mode with clear cover) and 0.9 lx f1.2(Easy day & night with smoke cover). The network camera shall deliver high picture quality analog output which is 540TV lines horizontal resolution to record by an analog VCR or DVR for back up recording application. The network camera shall feature Automatic White Balance for accurate color reproduction or manual adjustment for flexible operation in a wide range of environment. The network camera shall easily video parameter set up and adjustment of Auto Iris level, BLC using dip switches on the camera body. The network camera shall have user friendly menu set up and adjustment of the camera ID, time & date, adjustable bit rate from 32kbps to 8Mbps and function control by provided controller and viewing software or through a Web browser. The network camera shall incorporate a built in Vari-focal lens that has 2.6mm to 6mm of zoom ratio. The network camera shall feature Focus Adjustment function opening the iris for accurate focus adjustment. The lens angle of vision shall allow 82°(H) x 59°(V) to 35 °(H) x 26 °(V) range. The total angle adjustment range shall allow 120°(Horizontal), +80° & -50 °(Vertical) and ±15°(Tilt) coverage.
The network camera shall incorporate a UDP/IP, TCP/IP, ICMP, ARP, NTP, HTTP, FTP, and DHCP protocols for various applications. The VN-C205U is fully compatible with the VN-C11U, VN-C30U, VN-C625U, VN-C655U cameras and the VR-N100U which
can be easily mixed in a system. The provided controller and viewing software shall feature record, playback and snapshot functions to allow for a PC based surveillance system. The maximum length of control data cable (CAT5)shall be 328 feet allowing point to
Point connection and extensions can be made thru a switching Hub. The power source shall be DC12V or AC24V.
