 The VN-E4 offers 120 fps in total as it can encode at a maximum frame rate of 30 fps per channel (VGA) for four channels simultaneously. Normally, when the number of channels increases the frame rate tends to drop, however the VN-E4 will ensure "VGA 30fps" for each channel, producing smooth and natural pictures without degradation.
 The VN-E4 is capable of streaming VGA and QVGA simultaneously. This feature comes in very handy when some clients have limited bandwidth while other clients have enough bandwidth.
  Add
extra layers of security with these functions. Built-in alarm in/out terminals
allow you to connect an infrared sensor or door alarm to automatically trigger
an alarm recording. A 2MB memory is available for pre/post alarm image storage,
and it can send the alarm image to specified server via FTP. Motion detection
function automatically indicates if any movement occurs in a specified area of
the screen. You can specify not only the detection area but also select the sensitivity
level.

 Increase your surveillance twofold with two-way audio capability. The VN-E4 offers audio input and output terminals so it not only can monitor audio but also emit a sound to startle and discourage intruders.
 With the VN-E4, camera monitoring is never restricted to a dedicated system or monitor. Multicast capability allows this versatile video server to deliver the same high-quality images to any and all computers on your network. There's virtually no frame rate degradation when the VN-E4 is accessed by multiple clients. Network traffic management becomes easy and efficient.

 The network encoder shall be transforming analog video signal into digital JPEG images and transferring these images into the Ethernet or the Internet for remote a monitoring CCTV system. The network encoder shall be a JVC Model VN-E4U or equivalent. The network encoder shall feature 4 channel of NTSC composite video inputs. The network encoder shall produce JPEG compression, picture sizes of 640 x 480 and 320 x 240 with a maximum transfer frame rate of 30fps per channel for smooth motion pictures. The network encoder shall feature simultaneously encoding of both 640 x 480 and 320x240 resolution. The network encoder shall support programmable IP address allowing the installation Of multiple units in the same LAN environment. The network encoder shall have a built-in Web server that allows it to connect directly to the LAN/WAN/Internet without a computer. The network encoder shall feature an FTP Server capability for storage of user-designed Web pages. The network encoder shall feature NAT/IP Masquerade so that multiple VN-E4Us can be connected to a NAT/IP Masquerade compatible router and share a single IP address. The network encoder shall feature a pre/post alarm recording allows a maximum of 60 seconds of images recording before and/or after an alarm trigger. The network encoder shall feature a motion detection that indicates any movement in a programmed grid area, detecting motion by sensitivity and speed (both parameters are adjustable) over a minimum area of 8x8 pixels. The network encoder shall have user-friendly menu set up and adjustment of compression level, color saturation level, brightness level, programmable IP, time and date with full function control via Web browser. The network encoder shall incorporate UDP/IP, TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, DHCP, IGMP and ARP protocols for various network applications. The VN-E4U is fully compatible with the VR-N100U Network Video Recorder and can be easily mixed in a system. The web browser shall feature viewing, set up, recording and viewing of snap shot functions to allow for a PC surveillance system. The network encoder shall feature an external device control by RS485 for another JVC camera and use the Pelco D protocol. The network encoder shall incorporate 10Base-T and 100Base-Tx Ethernet, IEEE802.3 standard communication. The maximum length of control data cable(CAT5)shall be 328feet allowing point to point connection and extensions can be made thru a switching Hub. Power source shall be DC5V 20W and an external power supply unit shall be included. The network encoder's dimensions shall not exceed 7-9/32 inches(W) x 8-1/4 inches(D) x 1-7/8 inches(H). The unit shall be UL listed.
