- These are basic notices of making software.

- (1) Check your program code again and again before connecting device
- When you make a program, it is necessary to think about only working well but also recovering any conditions.
- If you had not tested your own software enough, it would cause the device to be out of order.
- Please, pay any attention to your programming.

- (2) Test it enough.
- The little difference of control timing causes an unexpected sequence and it does not operate properly.
- There is a case that you should adjust to find the control timing in your software for a stable operation.
- If your software's target device is various, you should test all of each one.

- (3) Think of managements for unexpected problems.
- In VCR control, there are many subjects like tape end, no tape, no tab for record or many cases.
- You should think of these many various cases.

- (4) Test it at various environments.
- You sholud think of the power of PC processing, vacancy or capable of serial port, a kind of OS, usage of another software with it.

- (5) Confirm it with every target device.
- Same kind of device does not always support same commands. You should confirm it with every target device.

- If you intend to distribute your software to others, you should inform the usage and attention about it carefully.
- And you should inform that there is possibility that a wrong usage or an unexpected operation causes the device to be out of order, and you should consent others to accept this subject.
- We obviously say that JVC has no responsibility and no duty of warranty on the usage of your software and its controlled device.

the development of "JLIP" controlling systems" ("Technical Document").
Victor Company of Japan, Limited ("JVC") will provide You with the Technical
Document under the following conditions.
- The Technical Document is provided as the reference for the purpose to connect and
control D-VHS VCRs and other audio-visual products with "JLIP" terminal and any
products with RS232C based terminal though a specific adapter. The use of the
Technical Document is at Your own discretion.
- You will make sure to, on your own responsibility, verify the operation of the device
and/or software developed and produced by You under the Technical Documents
(collectively, "Your Products") before You use or distribute to any third party such
device and/or software. JVC will not be responsible for any problem arising from
the Technical Information and the use thereof including, but not limited to,
verification of the operation.
- The copyright of the Technical Information belongs to JVC. Unless permitted by
the applicable law, it is prohibited by the copyright laws that You modify, alter, copy
or quote the Technical Document in whole or in part without JVC's prior approval.
- Nothing here will grant, assign or transfer to You any intellectual property rights
including "JLIP" logo, trademark and patents.
- If You wish to show in the relative document, Your web site and so on that Your
Products apply to "JLIP", the following wording is permitted: "This product (device,
