Two Lost at Paris, As Mexicans Attracted Again

Realized to be left out before the last match in the first round,also suffered with the sudden switch of their commander, Korea Republic desperately seeked for their ever First World Cup Win at Paris against Belgium. Belgians too were much motivated to seize a win which leads them to go through to the secondround for five consecutive tournaments.

So the game appeared a fight to the death, from the moment when Belgium hit the firstgoal by Luc Nilis at only 7th minute to the very last second. Giving away more than three decisive chances with mis-shootings, Korea finally managed to equlize by the 71st minute goal by Yoo Sang Chul. Then, the game ended without any more scoring, as both of elevens stood still for a moment of harsh despair.

In Group E, Netherlands and Mexico, the latter fantastically recovered from two goals behind after 75th minute, go through to the second round. As in Group F, Germany and Yugoslavia showed the class to beat Iran and U.S.A. respectively. Next Monday's match-up between Mexico and Germany must be the top high-light in the best 16th finals.
