Germans and Dutch Got Over With the Classic Dignity

The 3rd day of The 16th Finals in the Second Round created more thrill and suspence when two of very interesting match-up brought far excitement than every football freek expected.

The evening match at Montpellier between Germany and Mexico, who both had showed enough indomitable tenacity rather contrastively. Each other, igonoring midfield construction, tried to make fruits of rapid straight attaking. Germany's top scorer Oliver Bierhoff missed a decisive header, while Andreas Kopke and Jorge Campos made super savings on good shots from Francisco Palencia and Michael Tarnat respectively.

In the seocnd half, as all expected, Mexicans dashed suddenly to seize the preemtive goal and they succeeded, thanks to the aggressiveness of Luis Hernandez. But, oh do not underestimate indomitable Germans, they produced once again the reverse show when the skipper Jurgen Klinsmann and Calcio top striker Bierhoff acted as winning heroes.

In Toulouse, things went on quite breathtakingly heated up, as Nether-lands ahead once and Yugoslavians caught up. Eventually, Edger Davids striked the winner in the injury time just before the end.

No consolation if Mexico must would have been regretting the blonde long-heared Hernandez' easy misshooting which would made 2-0, and so would Yugoslavians the moment when Predrag Mijatovic's penalty shot hit the cross-bar. Self-defeating in those ways, both now wave goodbye to French summer.
