The 7th JVC Jazz Festival Miami took place from May 17-19, 2007 spanning from Miami Beach to North Beach and Downtown Miami.
This year's festival was one of the most successful to date, as over 4000 music fans converged to attend the events.
Arturo Sandoval
Arturo Sandoval got the festival off to an exciting start as he sold two shows to capacity at his club on opening night.
The legendary Van Dyke Cafe celebrated its final month on Lincoln Road with three nights of JVC Jazz Festival performances including Gerry Neiwood, Grady Tate and Henrik Meurkens.
Lanzallamas Monofonica
Friday night, May 18, the North Beach Bandshell was the scene of an intercontinental mash-up with Colombian/British Sidestepper as well as Miami septet Lanzallamas Monofonica. At The Arturo Sandoval Jazz Club, Dave Samuels & The Caribbean Jazz Project began their first of two nights on the festival.
Bebel Gilberto
Further celebrating Miami's melting pot, Saturday night, May 19, was headlined by Brazil's Bebel Gilberto, and Argentina's Federico Aubele.
This performance saw the festival's debut at the beautiful Knight Concert Hall at the new Carnival Center in Downtown Miami.
