JVC formulated its ”Basic Charter on The Environment” on April 1, 1992, thereby advancing its environmental activities from conventional measures focused on pollution prevention to broader actions aiming to conserve the global environment.

Furthermore, JVC revised this ”Basic Environment Policy' in 1996 and defined the policy whereby ”the conservation of global environment is the responsibility of a company as a public organ.” Since then, JVC has improved its environmental management system (EMS), and promoted environmental activities under this defined goal.

This Environmental Management Report summarizes the current status of JVC's environmental activities. The report, however, is non-conclusive, and there are many factors requiring further improvement. It is JVC's policy to develop the activity details step by step, and to strive to gain the understanding of every stakeholder on its environmental activities.
