Our production facilities must be constantly aware of environmental protection - this is JVC's fundamental policy, as a company that believes protecting the global environment is the mission of a global corporation.

As part of efforts in this area, we have already gained ISO14001 certification at all of our production facilities worldwide, and are recyling our resouces to achieve "zero emission". Even in our products themselves, we have initiated use of lead-free solder, discontinued use of PVC, and incorporated halogen-free circuit boards in order to reduce toxic chemical substances. And through our "Green Procurement" program, we have encouraged our many suppliers to also do their part in developing systems and materials that will reduce environmental impact.

Energy saving is another important factor. Emissions of carbon dioxide(CO2) is the main cause of global warming, are overwhelmingly higher during the use of domestic products than emissions from energy consumption during production processes. CO2 emissions also occur during the distribution of parts and products.

JVC not only promotes energy saving activities at its production sites, but also implements environmental measures in products and distribution through the reduction of stand-by power consumption and the improvement of distribution efficiency.
