ProHD uses the 720p HDV format, enabling it to capture and record progressive high-definition images with full resolution. If necessary, these 720p images can be converted to interlaced format without degradation.

DR-HD100 Hard Disk Drive

Connects to GY-HD100 camcorder

The DR-HD100 slides neatly into the hot shoe on the camcorder's handle, giving you extended HD and SD recording power, as well as the ability to load recorded data straight into your editing system without having to transfer it.
 
The DR-HD100's record and record-pause functions can be controlled from the GY-HD100 camcorder.
