About DV-Link
DV-Link is a standard tool provided to the KY-F550 users for use with the camera. The application is based on KY-F550 1394 SDK supplied by JVC.
DV-Link Major Functions:
Control KY-F550 through IEEE1394 bus including function menu mode.
Display video data on PC with provision for recording
View recorded AVI files
Provision for captures of still images (bmp format) during live and off-line viewing for AVI files.
Device control provision for BR-DV3000/BR-DV6000 Professional DV Recorder/BD-X200 DVD Recorder

Download and installation
[Step 1] Download DV-Link.
Click either the Download button at the bottom of this page according to the camera model you are using.
For KY-F550U users, choose [Download for KY-F550U]
For KY-F550E users, choose [Download for KY-F550E]
[Step 2] Extract the file.
2-1  Double-click "InstDVLink_forKY-F550U.exe" (or InstDVLink_forKY-F550E.exe) file to open it. The self-extraction program activates.
2-2  Click [Unzip] to start extraction.
When message window appears, click [OK] to complete the extraction.
InstDVLink_forKY-F550U folder has been created.
[Step 3] Installing DV-Link.
3-1  Double-click "Setup.exe" in InstDVLink_forKY-F550U folder and installation starts.
Start the installation according to the instructions on your screen.
(Screen images are for KY-F550U.)

3-2  Click [Next >]. Setup wizard is displayed.

3-3  Click [Next >]. The usage license contract menu is displayed.

3-4  Read the software usage license contract. If you agree to its terms, check [I Agree], then click [Next >].
If you do not agree to the terms, select [Cancel], which terminates installation.

3-5  Specify the folder to install DV-Link. If you do not specify a folder, a folder named "JVC\DV-Link" is created automatically in the "Program Files" folder.
Click [Next >].

3-6  Confirm the conditions to operate DV-Link, then click [Next >].

3-7  This completes the preparations for installing. Click [Next >].

3-8  DV-Link is being installed.

3-9  The DV-Link installation is complete. Click [Close].
[Step 5] Check that installation completed normally.
Select [Start] -> [All Programs] -> [JVC] -> [DVLink] -> [DVLink for KY-F550U (or DVLink for KY-F550E)] to start up the DVLink. When the software starts normally, then the installation is complete successfully.

A shortcut icon is automatically created on the desktop. Clicking the icon is another way to check that the software starts normally.

For operation instructions of DV-Link, read the "User's Guide" from [Start] -> [All Programs] -> [JVC] -> [DVLink for KY-F550U] folder or from the "Help" menu of the DV-Link application.

After checking all the steps above, click the button below to start Download.
