Obtaining Java VM following Microsoft Corporation's Termination of Java Distribution

Microsoft VM (Java VM) has been removed from the Windows® XP operating system Service Pack 1a (SP1a).

Java VM will thus be required to display the following models using web browsers such as Internet Explorer. Java VM can be downloaded from http://java.com/

  • VN-C10
  • VN-C2W
  • VN-C3W
  • VN-S10W

The following information regarding Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (MSJVM) Support is excerpted from Microsoft Corporation's website.
Recognizing the need to provide a smooth transition for current users of the Microsoft® Java Virtual Machine (MSJVM), Sun Microsystems and Microsoft have agreed to extend Microsoft's license to use Sun's Java source code and compatibility test suites. This extension allows Microsoft to support the MSJVM until December 31, 2007, providing customers with the ability to transition from the MSJVM on a schedule and plan that is most effective for them.
